Sumi e Cat - Patches with Poppies
Izumi studied western style oil painting, sculpturing, and printing at an art college in Tokyo, Japan. Izumi's work includes illustrations for nationally distributed magazines, books, bird identification signs for Wild Bird Society of Japan. Her current focus is on Sumi-e - Asian ink - paintings.
東京、文化学院で西洋美術を専攻。卒業後は週刊誌ぴあを含む雑誌、実用書などのイラスト、また日本野鳥の会軽井沢支部の依頼による、野鳥識別案内板の製作などを手がける。現在は水墨画の習得、製作を中心に活動中。
